Salary: Base of $120,000 – $130,000 plus performance bonus

Overview:
The ShareLife & Development Office is seeking a full time Associate Director, Major Gifts & Corporate Campaigns to plan, organize, direct and monitor the components of the ShareLife campaign, including contributions from corporations, foundations, individuals, and employee campaigns. The Associate Director is also responsible for the research, identification, cultivation and solicitation of prospective donors for the annual ShareLife campaign, and to develop and implement strategies for the stewardship of these donors. This will include major donors as well as the donor pipeline. The Associate Director oversees ShareLife special events and supervises four direct reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop budgets for campaigns
  • Working with the Executive Director and Communications Manager, develop marketing plans for the individual, corporate, employee and community campaigns, and participate in developing ShareLife’s overall communications strategy
  • Oversee a portfolio of 60-80 major donors to the ShareLife campaign
  • Work in conjunction with Catholic Charities and member agencies to prepare funding proposals and develop the Case for Support
  • Develop, write, and present proposals to corporations, foundations; individuals and prospective donors; provide ongoing stewardship
  • Work with the team to develop and implement various public functions and other ShareLife events and make presentations as required
  • Work with the ShareLife Golf Committee and Development Coordinator to plan and host the annual ShareLife Golf Tournament
  • Working with the Development Officer, Development Coordinators and Parish Campaign Officer, develop strategies to achieve annual revenue objectives for the parish campaign
  • Support the parish campaign through public speaking at parishes and other events as required
  • Other duties, as required

General Requirements:

  • University degree
  • CFRE designation preferred
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience including supervisory responsibilities

  • Faith based knowledge of the Catholic church, its tenets and culture, and respect for its leadership
    and parish clergy
  • A demonstrated track record of success in the identification, research, cultivation and stewardship of
    corporations and major gift prospects
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work as part of a team
  • Marketing skills and analytical ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to recruit, train and motivate volunteers and staff
  • Able to relate well to senior corporate executives and to work with clergy
  • Flexibility to attend meetings outside of regular business hours as required
  • The candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for travel within the
    boundaries of the Archdiocese of Toronto
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • A criminal background check will be required of the successful applicant
