We are searching for a part-time Administrative/Program Assistant to provide a wide variety of administrative duties in support of the Executive Director and the agency. Duties include answering calls, arranging meetings, minute taking and distribution, scheduling appointments and drafting internal and external correspondence. This position reports to the Executive Director, and will be based in Toronto, Ontario.

Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and office management support to the Executive Director and agency staff
- Answer telephones and greet visitors
- Responsible for day-to-day accounting functions (accounts payable, banking, petty cash, preparation and distribution of charitable receipts)
- Provide administrative support to the Board including preparation and maintenance of board minutes, board and committee reports, ensuring board quorum attendance
- Manage the preparation of the agency newsletter and maintain agency website
- Assist with agency fundraising initiatives, volunteer appreciation events, and other program events
- Attend after hours agency events such as board meetings, volunteer trainings, as required
- Participate in staff and team meetings as required
Qualifications:
- College diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years’ experience in an administrative support/office coordinator role
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with social media and website is an asset
- Previous experience in the not-for-profit sector is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and fluency in additional languages considered an asset.
- Valid Driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle is considered an asset
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Completion of a vulnerable sector check prior to hire
Location: In person – the office is located at 25 Linden Street, Toronto( Sherbourne Street and Bloor Street)
Compensation: 20 CAD/hr.
Hours: 21 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and occasional overtime is required
