Hospitality & Accessibility Volunteer

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Toronto provides leadership, supports social services, and advocacy to address ongoing and emerging needs in the community. At its core is Catholic Social Teaching, which focuses on the poor and marginalized, and urges all of us to build a just society and safeguard human dignity.

We are currently searching for Hospitality & Accessibility volunteers to be the first friendly face attendees see at Synergy Toronto 2026.

Synergy Toronto 2026 is a step toward breaking down silos, encouraging dialogue, and identifying opportunities for joint action among many Catholic organizations. This conference, as reflected in its current title, Synergy, is about unity, clarity, and transformation. It is a strategic effort to strengthen our collective voice and capacity to serve.

What You’ll Do:

  • Roam the venue as a friendly, visible presence, answering questions and helping attendees find their way
  • Support attendees with accessibility needs — mobility, hearing, vision, or sensory — and help coordinate accommodations with pre-selected support staff/volunteers
  • Help out at buffet/coffee stations and support additional networking events if confirmed

Good Fit If You:

  • Are adaptable and happy to help with whatever’s needed in the moment
  • Have a heart for making sure every attendee, including those with accessibility needs, feels welcome

Time Commitment:

The event is from November 3, 2026 to November 5, 2026. Shifts across all three days, including a possible Tuesday and Wednesday evening shift.
