Plenary & Breakout Session Support Volunteer

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Toronto provides leadership, supports social services, and advocacy to address ongoing and emerging needs in the community. At its core is Catholic Social Teaching, which focuses on the poor and marginalized, and urges all of us to build a just society and safeguard human dignity.

We are currently searching for Plenary & Breakout Session Support volunteers to Keep keynotes, panels, and breakout sessions running smoothly at Synergy Toronto 2026.  

Synergy Toronto 2026 is a step toward breaking down silos, encouraging dialogue, and identifying opportunities for joint action among many Catholic organizations. This conference, as reflected in its current title, Synergy, is about unity, clarity, and transformation. It is a strategic effort to strengthen our collective voice and capacity to serve.

What You’ll Do:

  • Usher attendees and manage seating flow for plenary sessions and breakout rooms
  • Support session logistics: room setup, timing, headcounts, and basic AV troubleshooting
  • Greet and support presenters and keynote speakers, including help in the green room

Good Fit If You:

  • Are detail-oriented and comfortable troubleshooting on the fly
  • Can stay attentive and helpful during long session blocks
  • Enjoy being around speakers, presenters, and behind-the-scenes program logistics

Time Commitment:

The event is from November 3, 2026 to November 5, 2026. Shifts across all three days, tied to the session schedule.
